When we began this kitchen cabinet and countertop update, we were happy nonetheless to practice what we learned on our previous cabinet transformation.
We started by removing old doors and hardware. Next a good clean and sanding to minimize imperfections. Don't forget a little wood puddy helps the aesthetics. We made sure to cover the no-paint areas, ready for paint.
The clients did the backsplash and it came out really nice.
After painting the cabinets body and ordering the new doors, we proceeded to focus on cutting the new counter tops to size, and finishing with a Minwax Special Walnut Stain. Really nice warm and toasty darker color to complement the expansive and clean bright white.
Given the job of replacing the tops, we also assumed the installation of a new sink with garbage disposal, which was, nothing new. Only that is half truth. Garbage disposals, drain and water valves I've done many. Sinks, not so much.
And this is how it turned out after painting and installing the new doors, counter tops, sink and hardware.
This kitchen cabinet and countertop update was a valuable and fun job.
